Course description
An extensive course (2 x 5 days + 2 online) as an in-depth study of osteopathy in the visceral field. Starting from the anatomy, physiology and pathology, we will focus on the osteopathic perspective and functional interpretation. Osteopathy in the visceral field is relatively young and not so well understood, but popular. With over 35 years of experience in teaching, dissection, and practice, we will teach the details and personal practical application. In particular, the scientific substantiation and application of tests and techniques in daily practice are examined.
A course with an emphasis on traditional craftsmanship, precise palpation at a high level and daily practice, to actually help the patient in the many disorders that we encounter in osteopathic practice. We also focus on the relevance of visceral dysfunctions to low-back-pain, complaints of the shoulder, migraine, etc.
The dífferent approach of the viscera
An extra emphasis is placed on:
- Application of embryology and evolution theory;
- The phenomenologic (personal) approach of dysfunctions;
- The use of A.P.E.N. (Autocrine, Paracrine, Endocrine, Neurocrine cxommunication) in the explanation of hierarchy;
- Transparancy of the 5 osteopathic models; using the 5 models for explanation of the effect of therapy in stead of desisions what to treat.
- Integration, inhibition (relationship different dysfunctions) and interpretation of the dysfunction;
- Holistic approach: a different view and a multi-causal approach; in other words: treat the whole person & his own ability of self-healing.
Contents:
- Concept of osteopathy in the visceral field, Oesophagus, Gaster, Duodenum, Intestinum.
- History of the visceral field, Colon, Hepar, vesica Biliaris, Ren
- Vesica Urinaria, Rectum, Pancreas, Lien, Integration of the above.
Possible extension to Cor, Pulmones, Endocrinology, Diaphragmata, BBRS (Basic-Bio-Regulation-System).

Review:
Theatre & Osteopathy, then I think of Robert Muts. From start to finish, you will be taken into a great performance full of energy, passion, enthusiasm and an incredible wealth of knowledge and experience. Really great how Robert can combine all this together into practice. Osteopathy as osteopathy is meant to be. If you ask me, a course that you absolutely must have done. Very nice atmosphere, everything well organized and my big compliments also to the fine and very knowledgeable table assistants. Thank you!
